Pork in the Park Fall 2019

One of the first fundraising efforts for the new playground at Bowie Nature Park was put together by two of the current City Commissioners. Debby Rainey and Derek Burks started formulating ideas for a BBQ Competition and Pork in the Park was the result. It turned out to be an absolutely beautiful fall day and the competitors were eager to get started in the wee hours of the morning. All the chefs brought their A-game and some Wow factor. One team brought alligators! Everyone enjoyed the food, music and community atmosphere. The BBQ was all delicious but the judges did have to narrow down their top choices for the final judging. Here are a few pictures from the event!

We look forward to seeing you at Pork in the Park -- Spring 2021!
